Don't Forget About The Sprouts
There are undoubtedly so many healthy living and eating advice articles out there on the web today from various physicians, nutritionists and health gurus.
Many advise on common known facts such as reducing the consumption of saturated fats, sugars, highly processed foods, red meat, refined flours and a plethora of other foods.
With the amount of information that is so readily available at our fingertips it can seem like a daunting task to figure out the answer to a basic question such as ” Well what am I supposed to be eating?”
Along with all the common foods associated with “healthier eating”, one that is commonly overlooked is the simple sprout.
Sprouts in my view are a powerhouse of nutrition. To me, Krishna it is simply magical how such a small bean, seed or nut can be transformed into something so nutritious.
The process of sprouting actually turns the seed from its dormant state into an actual live plant.
Cooking the bean, seed or nut can actually result in depletion of its valuable nutritional content. But sprouting it actually has the opposite effect.
The types of sprouts that one can make very simply at home are innumerable. Common sprouts that we have sprouted with little effort are alfalfa, clover, quinoa, chick peas and moong beans.
